Who Is Duffy ?
I have been writing all my life, but my first paid work came when I left the UK to backpack around India and Asia. Six months in and I was running drastically low on funds. I submitted some travel articles which became published and the money covered me until I arrived in Sydney. Here, I honed my technical skills at the Sydney Writers Centre and had the urge to start out on my own with my blog, website and facebook page. Seven years later and i'm a proud Sydney resident with a thriving little business.
I have found that there are many "writers" who advertise themselves on the internet but few are qualified and alot of what is churned out is copied off the net, or with terrible grammar and spelling. Some just repeat keywords for SEO purposes without really thinking about the message.
Proudly, most of my work now comes through referals and regular clients who come back for more of my words! I find this incredibly flattering and also more determined than ever to provide original content with the right "voice" for the right client.
